How we quote work
Every repair gets a written estimate before any work begins, and you approve the number before we touch anything. If a job turns out to need more than we quoted, you get told and you decide — nothing is added because it seemed sensible at the time. That sounds obvious and it is not universal, which is why we put it in writing rather than saying it. It also means we sometimes tell people a repair is not worth doing on their vehicle, which costs us the job and is the only honest answer in that situation.
All makes, and what that actually means
We service domestic, import and European vehicles — cars, trucks and SUVs. In practice that means using the fluids and parts your manufacturer specifies rather than a generic equivalent, which matters more on some vehicles than others. Many European engines require an oil carrying a specific manufacturer approval rather than simply the right viscosity, and several modern vehicles need a replacement battery registered to the charging system. Getting those details right is unglamorous and it is most of what separates a repair that lasts from one that comes back.
Two shops, and why that helps you
Our Austin shop sits on N. Lamar in North Austin; our Round Rock shop is on Louis Henna Blvd just off I-35. Both do full general repair and maintenance and both perform emissions testing on site, which matters because Travis and Williamson counties each still require an annual test before you can renew your registration. Whichever is closer to you is the one to use — and if you are roughly between them, either works.
Your warranty does not require a dealership
This comes up constantly and the answer is settled. A manufacturer cannot require dealer servicing to keep your factory warranty valid, provided the specified work is performed correctly, with appropriate parts, and documented. That is federal law rather than a courtesy. We follow the published schedule for your vehicle, use parts meeting specification, and keep the records — which also supports the car's value when you sell it. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are describing a sales preference.
